Step 1: Adjust Table Filters and Columns
- Navigate to the Charging Station Settings.
- Filter the table to ensure all relevant columns are visible.
- To customize the columns, click the three dots next to the column headers to select or replace the necessary columns.
- Check the Firmware Version column, which displays the OCPP BootNotification action for the selected locations and charging stations from the past two weeks.
- If the firmware version is not displayed, restart the charging station via the Home Dashboard. The station will send its firmware version upon reboot, which will then appear in the table.
Step 2: Start the Firmware Update
- Click the Update Firmware button to initiate the process.
- Select the type of charging station you want to update.
- Choose the firmware version to apply to the charging stations.
- Select the charging stations where the firmware will be installed.
- After reviewing your settings, click Update. This sends an UpdateFirmware request via the OCPP protocol to the selected stations.
Step 3: Monitor Firmware Download and Installation
- Once the charging stations begin downloading and installing the firmware, the progress will be displayed in the Last Status Update column.
- This column reflects actions from the OCPP logs, including:
- FirmwareStatusNotifications for the selected locations and stations from the past 30 minutes.
- UpdateFirmware for the selected locations and stations from the past 30 minutes.
- If a station is not in the “Available” status during the update, the process will start as soon as the station becomes available.
Note: Currently, there is no visual feedback indicating whether the update has started.
Troubleshooting
If the firmware update fails even though the station is available, try starting the update again.
If the issue persists, restart the charging station via the Home Dashboard before attempting the update again.
