The ChargePilot Dashboard uses various status indicators to visualize the current state of a charging point. Below are the statuses explained, including their corresponding OCPP charging point statuses, the OCPP 1.6 state (in English), and their description as shown in the tooltip.
Operative Status
Available
No vehicle is connected to the charging station; the station is free.
Preparing
The charging point is occupied, but a charging session has not yet started. This can occur, for example, when a vehicle is connected, but the user needs to confirm the charging session.
Charging
The connected vehicle is charging.
Paused by LM (OCPP = SuspendedEVSE)
The charging session is paused by either the charging station or ChargePilot.
Paused by EV (OCPP = SuspendedEV)
The charging point is ready to supply power, but the vehicle is not drawing electricity, possibly because it is already fully charged.
Finishing
The charging session has ended, but the vehicle is still connected, or the station is not yet ready for a new user.
Reserved (would be shown as "available" in ChargePilot)
The charging point is reserved, for example, via the “Reserve Now” command. Currently, this feature is not supported by ChargePilot and would appear as “Available” in the ChargePilot Dashboard.
Inoperative Status & Offline
Unavailable
The charging point is not available for charging, either due to a manual command or an event that set the station to “Unavailable.”
Faulted
The charging point has reported an error and is not available. This may be due to a fault during the charging process or an issue with the station itself.
Offline (no OCPP status)
The station is offline. This can happen due to a power outage or a lost connection. In some cases, the station may continue charging, depending on the settings. While offline, no actions can be performed via the ChargePilot Dashboard, such as restarting the station or a charging event.
Unknown (no OCPP status)
The station has not yet reported its status. This typically occurs immediately after installation or a restart.
These status indicators help users quickly understand the state of a charging point and take appropriate action if needed.
