Viewer User Manual

Overview

The Depot Map provides a real-time, visual overview of your transit depot, allowing you to monitor vehicles, charging points, and overall charging status at a glance. It is designed to support daily operations by helping teams quickly understand readiness, identify issues, and coordinate actions across dispatch, operations, and maintenance.

ℹ️ This guide covers the viewer experience only. Map creation is handled internally.

1. Accessing the Depot Map

  1. Open ChargePilot.

  2. From the left-hand navigation, select Depot map under the Dashboard section.

  3. The map will load automatically for the selected depot.

ℹ️ Multi-site is not selected, you must select a single site.

2. Depot Map Layout

Main Map Area

The central area displays a visual layout of your depot, including:

  • Parking rows and bays

  • Buses positioned at charging points

  • Charging points (you can find the charging station on hover)

  • Buildings or fixed infrastructure (e.g., office)

Each bus and charging point is represented as a simplified block to prioritize clarity and fast scanning.

Depot Overview Panel (Right Side)

The Depot overview panel summarizes charger activity across the depot:

  • Total charging points

  • Available

  • Plugged in

  • Charging

  • Faulted

  • Offline, unknown, unavailable

This panel updates in near real time and provides a quick operational snapshot.

Vehicle Status Legend

The legend explains color and icon indicators used on the map. Use it to quickly interpret vehicle readiness and charger health.

  • ? Yellow: 46–65% SOC

  • ? Blue: Occupied AC charging point

  • ⚠️ Error: Fault or issue detected

  • ℹ️ Offline / Unknown / Unavailable : The charging point is not currently usable or its status cannot be confirmed. This includes cases where the charger is offline and not communicating, the system has not received recent status information, or the charger is temporarily out of service for non-fault reasons.

3. Navigating the Map
