TABLE OF CONTENTS

Highlights Q3

  • Improved Modbus interface: Our Modbus interface now lets an EMS or micro grid controller access live site and session data (e.g. RFID) — with registers neatly ordered by connector, just like in the ChargePilot Dashboard!

  • New optimization engine: ChargePilot’s new optimization engine is faster, smarter, and rock-solid — now using every last amp of your grid connection while keeping safety and reliability at the core.

  • New Home Dashboard for All Users: The new Home Dashboard is now fully rolled out, with improved status cards, new timescale-based charts, and a redesigned UI.
  • More Reliable Data Flow: Key components of the Dashboard (charts, charging statuses, and notifications) now run on an improved and more powerful database for better performance and consistency.

Overview of Releases

CLOUD [2025.10.09]

  • IMPROVEMENT: [NA Region] Error Notifications Update
    • An email notification is sent when the first controller error or first charger error(s) related to a controller is received
    • Additional email notifications are sent each time a new charger error related to the same controller is received (1:1)
    • An email notification is sent as soon as a charger error is resolved

CLOUD [2025.09.29]

  • IMPROVEMENTHome Dashboard charts (Power & Limits and Notifications) now use a more powerful database system for faster and more reliable updates.

LC 2.2 [2025.09.23]

  • FEATURE Modbus interface (See Modbus Register Tables):

    • Enhance our Modbus interface to allow an EMS to get data about the site and live charging sessions locally (e.g. RFID)

    • The order of the live data register blocks are ordered by connector name (i.g. like the default order in the ChargePilot Dashboard UI)

  • FEATURE More efficient and robust optimization engine

    • The optimization core of ChargePilot got a general refactoring and is now more stable, faster and provides future proof extendability.

  • FEATURE: Using every last amp available at your grid connection.

    • In the past the load management reserved in some circumstances capacity for connected EVs in state “SuspendedEV” that could lead to an underutilized grid connection.

    • Now the ChargePilot load management will also be able to utilize the connection to the limit while maintaining the high standard of safety and reliability.

CLOUD [2025.07.29]

  • FEATURE: Automated Restarts - Chargers in error state are now auto-restarted, no manual intervention required.
    • NA Region:
      • After 10 minutes of an error persisting, the charger will be remotely restarted.
      • If the issue is still not resolved 5 minutes later (therefore 15 minutes after the issue has first appeared), then an email notification will be issued.
    • EU Region:
      • After 15 minutes of an error persisting, the charger will be remotely restarted.
      • If the issue is still not resolved 15 minutes later (therefore 30 minutes after the issue has first appeared), then an email notification will be issued

CLOUD [2025.07.28]

  • FEATURE: Dashboard – The new Home Dashboard (incl. updated status bar) was rolled out to external Beta Testers.
  • FEATURE: Dashboard – Added full French translations and language selection.
