Ekoenergetyka - Configuration for ChargePilot

Before starting the configuration, please check the charger firmware version complies with the latest compatible firmware version.


Connection to the charger

Local connection

Connect to the charger web interface

  • Direct connection to the charger

    • For the first time login, or the station has a static IP-address, connect your laptop directly with the charger (stand-alone)

    • Change the IP-address of your laptop’s Ethernet port to the same IP range

    • Open your web browser and type in the default IP-address 192.168.14.190 or the configured charger IP-address

  • Indirect connection to the charger via a DHCP server

    • Connect your Ethernet cable to the router which is also connected to the charger and the DHCP server

    • Open your web browser and type in the charger IP-address

Login Data:
Username: <acquired from the vendor>
PW: <aquired from the vendor or customer>

Network settings

Ethernet

  • Mode for Ethernet configuration: DHCP (default) at the WAN port of the charger’s router

  • Follow the steps:

    1. Make sure you are in the "Advanced" mode. You may check that on the top dashboard, on the right

    2. Using the settings bar on the left, go to Network → WAN.

    3. On the 'wan" interface, click "Edit"

    4. Under the "General Settings" tab, select "DHCP" protocol from the dropdown menu

    5. Click "Save & Apply", and again "Save & Apply" in the main menu. After that, the changes should be applied. The interface will restart. You can see if the connection is established either in this menu or in the Status tab

  • If the connection is not established, please first check if the external device is connected to the WAN port on the Teletonika router. If there is still no connection, please contact Ekoenergetyka support.

OCPP settings

Backend

  • Go to the Settings tab

  • WebSockets JSON OCPP URL of the Backend: ws://172.22.0.1:9000

OCPP ChargeBox ID (ChargerId)

  • Serial number of the charger by default or according to the installation protocol

Other charger settings

Authorization settings

  • Navigate to the Settings tab

  • Configure the Parameters as follows:

    • authorization.factor.evccid: Off

    • authorization.factor.rfid: On

Charge process suspended

This functionality applies for the use cases , if the user would like to pause the charge process. By default the charge process will go to finish status when the charger receives a 0 W offer, or when the EV is fully charged.

  • Navigate to the Settings tab

  • Configure the Parameters as follows:

    • connector.1.policy.zeroPower.defaultAction = "suspended"

    • connector.1.policy.zeroPower.start = true 

Autocharge/Free charging settings (tbd)

When this function is activated, charger starts transaction either with the identifier predefined in the charger, or with the EV MAC address (Plug & Charge).

  • Navigate to the Settings tab

  • Configure the Parameters as follows:

    • noauthmode = on

    • authorization.enabled = off

    • AllowOfflineTxForUnknownId = on (for free charging offline)
