- Advanced Peak Shaving
- ChargePilot Network Status
Overview of Releases in Q4
Cloud v2.8 23 Nov 2023
- Statistics Download: Additional functionality to download fleet peak load statistics in a 15min time interval for further analysis of the sites. Only available for customers with the Dashboard Business package.
ChargePilot Installer 1st Iteration: The ChargePilot Installer enables our electrician partners to setup configuration parameters of a new site themselves directly in the app and therefore streamline their workflow during installation and commissioning of a new site.
Local Controller 1.50.6 2 Nov 2023
- Advanced Peak Shaving: Introduction of a new limit [kW] that is considered as a 15-min average limit
- ChargePilot Network Status: This page allows the customer to access the ChargePilot controller locally using “local IP:8000” in a Webbrowser, if they are in the same network: It displays services on the controller and if they are reachable
- OCPP-Proxy: charger reconnection issue after offline case
- OCPP-Proxy was sending a StatusNotification request to the charger when the connection to the TPBE was reestablished. Some chargers were rejecting this for unknown reasons. As a result OCPP Proxy was not able to reconnect the charger to the TPBE. Now OCPP Proxy will not differentiate between a rejected or accepted StatusNotification from the charger and reestablish the connection with the TPBE
- Phoenix MA370 Meter: Supporting the Phoenix MA370 meter extends our support for Modbus TCP meters
Cloud v2.5 10 Oct 2023
- Advanced Peak Shaving: The customers now have the possibility to apply a power limit to their main distribution that acts as a 15 min average load limit and provides more flexibility for the load management
- For customers using an additional limit, e.g. from electricity tariffs or an EMS, we now display this as a dashed line in addition to the main limit.
- IMPROVEMENT Site names are now shown in the charging events downloads for charging events where the charger was replaced and is no longer part of the ChargePilot system
- IMPROVEMENT Instead of the support email a link to the support form is now added to the ChargePilot Dashboard to streamline support requests even better.
- IMPROVEMENT The profile section now embedded via iFrame and therefore solves the issue with different zooms in the profile section and the rest of the ChargePilot Dashboard.

Overview of Releases Q3
Cloud v2.4 19 Sept 2023
- New Look of FuseTree in ChargePilot Dashboard: Site Setup now as separate tab next to Site Details instead of the extended settings button. Only accessible for Admins and TMH-Admins
- Current Utilisation Statistics: Possibility to see total and fleet currents per phase and per sub-distribution directly in the ChargePilot Dashboard. Only accessible to TMH-Admins for now
- TMH-Admin Role: For internal users only
- Translation fixes for Profile section of ChargePilot
- Beta-Chip for beta-features (OCPP Logs, FW Update)
- FIXED Rework of grid tariffs configuration: Grid tariffs are set using the site's local time.
- Time is not adjusted for daylight savings (which means that the grid tariff set up in the local time of 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. is 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the winter and 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the summer; we do not make a +/- 1 hour flip here).
- Fix user login Issues: reset failed attempts counter 30 minutes after last login attempt
Cloud v2.3 3 Aug 2023
- Technical improvements of ChargePilot Dashboard live-data flow
- OCPP Logs are now visible in edge cases where logs are disabled but were enabled in the past (Beta Testing)
Cloud v2.2 18 Jul 2023
Local Controller 1.49.4 7 Aug 2023
- OCPP-Proxy: meter value trigger by third party backend
- meter value triggers by the third party backend will now be routed through to the charger and the charger response send to the third party backend.
- OCPP-Proxy: “MeterValueSampleInterval” is set per connector
- The fix ensures that “MeterValueSampleInterval” is set per connector, so that charging sessions per connector will maintain separate timeouts.
- OCPP-Proxy: Password override problems when using a wss link
- Authorization with third party backend using an ssl link failed sometimes and the password nedded to be reset from third party backend side. With this fix, it is now possible to use the ssl cpo_backend_url link.
Highlights Q2
- New Menu Bar
- OCPP Logs (Beta Testing)
- New Charging Point Statuses
- OCPP Proxy offline behavior
Overview of Releases Q2
Local Controller 1.49.3 22 Jun 2023
- Condition for “Waiting for LM” for Keba UDPs adapted.
For Kebas that communicate via UDP with ChargePilot but have a parallel direct OCPP connection to a third party backend we showed a wrong status in the ChargePilot WebPortal. It was often displayed as “Waiting for LM” even if it should show available.
SoC added to Modbus Server implementation.
- ABB DC: different stacklevels per connector
ABB DC chargers expect different stack levels per connector. Since we always send stack level==0, power limits are not working at their second connector.
- EMS: in case of offline chargers, maximum charging power is reported
Changed the calculation of the fleet_active_power and fleet_current_phase values so that if a charger is offline it is assumed to output it's maximum power/current capabilities instead of reporting an unknown value for the total fleet
- Integrate new DHCP-Server “dnsmasq”
The older dhcp service had problems with assigning leases. The new “dnsmasq” service does not have this problem.
- ChargePilot DHCP Server activated by default
- OCPP Proxy offline behavior
ongoing transactions will continue without interruption
Authorization cache allows user who previously charged while ocpp-proxy was active, to start new charging sessions. However, new users whose details are not cached will not be able to start new charging sessions.
- Adding ChangeAvailability to OCPP Proxy
OCPP Proxy didn’t forward the ChangeAvailability command from the third party backend (TPBE), this is now solved
TPBE can now accept/pass through the ChargerAvailability OCPP message.
- Data compression enabled for all local controllers
All data from the local controller will be compressed before sending it to the cloud
Cloud v2.1 6 Jun 2023
- OCPP Logs (Beta Testing): OCPP Logs are now visible in the ChargePilot Dashbaord
- New Charging Point Statuses: We split up the statuses and Unavailable + Offline are now shown as separate statuses, not as Error anymore.
Offline is still shown in the Error Notifications tile
Unavailable is not shown in the Error Notifications tile anymore, as it’s not an error
Finishing is not grouped under “preparing” anymore.
- Reduced loading time for ID management section
- Added site name to error notifications
We now show the site name in multi-site view for the error notifications tile in the Dashboard
- Added error icon to charging point details table
We now show error icons whenever we receive an error code via OCPP, even when the corresponding status is not error
- Activities Search Bar
- Disabled RFID identifier when editing
Cloud v2.0 21 Apr 2023
- New Menu Bar: A new menu bar was introduced to ChargePilot to improve usability and responsiveness across all devices.
- New Login & Authentication for ChargePilot
- The Login & Authentication Service for ChargePilot was refactored and redesigned.
- The Profile section is now shown as part of the new menu bar.
- Driver Role (Beta Testing): A new role for drivers was introduced to allow @work drivers to see charging processes at the charging stations on site on their phone.
This is currently tested with selected Beta Users. - Charging Station ID now visible in the Dashboard
- Meter values in Amps are now visible in the ChargePilot Live-View in the Dashboard
- Integration of the Help Center in the new menu bar.
