Goal
ChargePilot Controller Status is a local interface to to the ChargePilot local controller. It assists in diagnosing network connectivity issues without requiring remote access.
What is it?
ChargePilot Controller Status provides a local interface to the ChargePilot local controller via webpage. It enables a customer to check the network connectivity of ChargePilot from within the local network.
Who is it for?
Network administrators or electricians on the customer site. If allowed by the customer network The Mobility House’s operations team can access the ChargePilot Controller Status remotely.
ChargePilot Controller Status
This subpage provides a comprehensive list of all network connections of the local controller, along with their respective statuses. For each Service the latency (service’s response time to its backend), Port and URL will be displayed.
Services
- Balena
- Essential for cloud-based operation, Balena provides vital support and software updates for ChargePilot, ensuring its seamless performance and enabling us to deliver necessary assistance.

- Sentry
- Sentry is an integral platform that promptly notifies developers and operators about error occurrences, enabling efficient bug resolution and ensuring the essential functioning of ChargePilot.
- NTP server
- Achieve proper communication with other devices by synchronizing ChargePilot's date with our NTP server, ensuring accurate timekeeping, which is crucial for seamless device-to-device interaction.
It will only be checked against the balena NTP server. If another NTP server is used at the site the connectivity check cannot be performed.
DNS server
The DNS server is essential for ChargePilot's connectivity, translating domain names to IP addresses and enabling seamless communication with other devices and services. It ensures proper functionality by providing the necessary address resolution for efficient connections.
Third party billing backend
Access to this service is necessary for storing billing data and authorizing transactions, enabling ChargePilot to fulfill charging needs efficiently and reliably.
